WHO KILLED CHRISTMAS?

Four hours pass yet again. Thug Dangerzone and Brasco move all the tables together (with no help from Starshine), and once again the dining room becomes a makeshift trial center. Poor Diana's body is carefully laid out on one of the tables. She's covered by a sheet, because frankly her corpse looks a little nauseating, but she's there if anyone needs to look at her.

On each spot at the table is a some cookies and apple cider, and that basket sits remains cheery and present at the center of the tavle. Next to the food is a pen and a small notebook, like the kind they use on police procedural.

After everyone is seated, or at least standing awkwardly around, Brasco stands up on a chair. "I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed in you all," he says, and you get the sense he honestly means it. "This is way, way more murders than we wanted here! By a significant margin! But at least justice can be served a little. Me and Princess and Thug were looking around some after you guys finished, and we narrowed it down to five different suspects. So figure it out! You've got all day. Go vote when you're sure, and remember: this isn't a joke. Make sure you get it right. When we've got a majority vote, or when it gets too late, we'll decide.

Look there's...there's not a lot to do around here. Especially for people like me and Rosalind. So yeah, we grab a bottle or two, we go someplace private and we...entertain ourselves for the night. And it's not like we can do it when everybody's awake so...we take advantage.

Then I nap in front of the fireplace during the day, and she's younger and can go all night and be fine or...I dunno, maybe she naps, too. We're nighttime buddies, we're not friggin dating.

Don't make us feel bad 'cause we got high libidos and a lot of energy. Shaming's not cool.

Not without me noticing. I'm a paranoid guy that doesn't sleep much or deep, especially if I'm not along in a room. Too many people trying to assassinate me. So unless you're suggesting that Rosalind seduced me, screwed my brains out, then drugged me to go then commit murder....

I'm not shaming you for your libido- [That's pretty damn impressive actually, for someone as old as Jack.] -but rather I'm looking for confirmation that you did not sleep all night and can personally verify that she was right with you for the entire night. Which you can't really do if you fell asleep at any point.

Look, there's almost no way she could have left without me noticing. I'm not much of a sleeper at the best times, got insomnia, got a lotta people trying to assassinate me. When I sleep, it's light and I wake up at like...temperature changes or a door opening somewhere down the hall.

I just want to be completely sure here, because right now there's only two possible suspects based on defensive wounds: Rosalind, who you are claiming was with you, and Saichi, who hasn't done a search yet to see if he has scratch marks on him. And if you're providing an alibi for Rosalind, then that leaves Saichi.

No, I get it. But I can promise you, Rosalind's wounds aren't defensive. I use my nails, I use teeth, I've got metal edges on my face. And I can show you plenty that match hers, I'm just as scratched and bruised up.

The thing is that unless her throat got slit first it doesn't make sense for the floor to be that clean in front of the nutcracker room, if that thing got taken to beat her up. But there's no point in beating her up that badly if she'd already been killed, either, especially if someone's leaving a blood trail to go get a second weapon...

Water would've had to be mopped up though, maybe, if someone came and got something to knock her out first. And to hear your buddy tell it, you two went pretty hard. You're sure cleaning up in your own bathroom would cut it?

Sorry, what exactly are you saying? I'm following your theory on a second weapon being gotten, but I don't see how that connects with my rinsing myself off with a bathroom sink comes into it. Yes, it cut it, I was tired and I splashed some water on my face and went to sleep.
