WEEK 3

Another week gone and it's still Christmas! Or is it? The paint on the walls is beginning to crack and fade, with especially large chunks in character's bedrooms revealing scratched words like "cantgetoutcantgetout" and "god help me i just want to go home i miss my home i miss my mother i miss" etc. Yikes! The locations page might be updated throughout the week as characters discover more. Seems like now's the perfect time to investigate and hope you'll get closer to finding out what's going on here. There's always more places to look and more things to find!

As a reminder that this week's activity check is now live! And as usual, it's never a bad time to submit threads for regains! Have you been naughty or nice? Naughty children still get presents too, don't worry. And if you'd like to check-in on Thursday night, you always can! You never know what fun you might run into.

So go exploring, find something new and pay no mind to the creepy writing on the walls. We're sure everything will be fine! After all, nothing ever goes wrong on Christmas, right?

[ There isn't anything immediately freaky about Dorian's room! He'll have to look around a bit for any cool evidence, try the dresser? Never know what could be in those drawers. ]

[ Good call! If Dorian reaches back into the very edge of the drawer, he'll find a torn piece of paper. It reads:

Thursday, November 17th
No. Not this holiday. A hideous thing, and I will take the timely setback in favor of simply never performing this holiday again. Though I need not: the end will be at hand soon enough, and I will finally ascend. But I am not as self-sufficient as I would have hoped... I will still require a steady stream of sacrifices in the coming year. And yet I cannot stay and care for them on my own

And it just cuts off there! Looks like the other half of this paper is somewhere else. ]

... What on earth?

[Um. Gonna pocket this and search through the drawers again to be sure the other half of it didn't get lost somewhere.]

[ Nope! The other half is definitely not here. ]

[Okay. Dorian's going to go look in the closet for his hat.]

[ Dorian won't find anything else strange in his room, might wanna try looking somewhere else on another day! ]

[That's great, he'll just take his hat and go back to Chuuya.]

[He holds said hat to Chuuya with a... Bewildered look on his face.]

... what, is something up?

[chuuya raises a brow as he takes the hat, immediately putting it on before he holds the book out to dorian.]

[He accepts the book, and... Shows Chuuya the note.]

This was lying in my dresser.

[he'll take a moment to read it over a couple times before he wrinkles his nose, giving his head a shake.]

Shit, here we go with the 'sacrifices' thing again. But if that dead guy said they're all still hanging around after they die... I thought this occult stuff was usually about souls or something.

I'm sorry... Again?

[Oh god is there more of this.]

There was some kind of flyer that turned up last week that mentioned 'making a sacrifice', so... guess we've got confirmation that's what's going on.

[He glances back down to the note he found.]

A sacrifice... How... Disturbing.

[He could have said. Absurd. He really could have. But this feels so...]

Is there anything about this place that isn't disturbing?

[chuuya sighs, adjusting his hat.]

At least it's a better idea of what we're dealing with.
