Week 3: 4th Investigation

Well it sure has been a strange week, hasn't it? Maybe you're all still drowsy from your slumber party, or maybe you wanted some time alone and purposely didn't go hang with the reindeer. Either way, the house is only getting creepier so it should probably come as no surprise that you guys need to have a look around and see if Santa left the naughty children any coal. Or you know, dead bodies.

Once again, it's time for an investigation! Characters may go about their morning business, just be sure you let us know what room you're investigating in and we'll let you know if your morning is getting rudely interrupted. But don't worry if you miss out! There's plenty to find and a killer to catch. Just have to figure out whose Christmas time was cut short first.

DINING ROOM

[Dorian was already a little more than shook today. Someone had wrapped up the key to his attic and left it for him. Then someone else said there was a headless body in the kitchen.]

[Looks like he'll go to the dining room then! No messy bodies here,
yes?]

[ There is a body here, but it's not very messy at all! It's cold and bleak as it's been all week, but Rider's body is seated in a chair.

Where would you like to look first? ]

[... Gonna check the chair.]

[ Well, it's easy to see what killed Rider even from just looking at the back of the chair. A metal poker is sticking out of her back, and seems to have gone straight through her chest.

She looks pretty peaceful otherwise, though there's something a bit off about how she's sitting. ]

[Oooookay. Gonna pull the poker out for evidence.]

[What's wrong with how she's sitting?]

[ Her back is set against the chair but her arms are just hanging at her sides. Kind of an unnatural pose to have when sitting down to eat. Wonder what she was eating...?

But yikes, better watch out, Dorian! The area was clean, but now that Dorian's pulled the poker out, the body is starting to leak blood. Watch your feet. ]

[Ah, yes. Moving right out of the way to avoid getting blood on his nice shoes...]

[He glances at the table as he does so]

[ There is a plate at the spot in the table where Rider is sat. And in that plate?

Raw eggs. Yeah. ]

[theothermrgray]

[... Raw?!]

[Dorian tries not to throw up as he searches the rest of the table.]

[ Yep, just some eggyolks and whites hanging out on a plate. Gross, eh?

There's nothing else strange in this room, though! Good job, Dorian. ]
