Week 3: 4th Investigation

Well it sure has been a strange week, hasn't it? Maybe you're all still drowsy from your slumber party, or maybe you wanted some time alone and purposely didn't go hang with the reindeer. Either way, the house is only getting creepier so it should probably come as no surprise that you guys need to have a look around and see if Santa left the naughty children any coal. Or you know, dead bodies.

Once again, it's time for an investigation! Characters may go about their morning business, just be sure you let us know what room you're investigating in and we'll let you know if your morning is getting rudely interrupted. But don't worry if you miss out! There's plenty to find and a killer to catch. Just have to figure out whose Christmas time was cut short first.

[The Pantry had that weird room in it, right? Or was connected to it––couldn't hurt to check if anything seems strange or off inside the Pantry.]

[ The pantry is a mess. The things and cans from the shelves lay strewn about on the ground, and nearly all the shelves have either fallen over or are broken.

There's probably something important around here, though! Where would Shintaro like to take a closer look? ]

[One by one, he'll pace around the room (carefully!!) examining the fallen and broken shelves for anything that looks especially suspicious. What hurricane came through here? Is it all just food/pantry items or is there anything that doesn't belong?]

[ A few things stick out, but let's focus on the something that doesn't belong.

With Shintaro looking so closely for things that are out of place, he'll notice some kind of gold slivers on the ground. Weird, there doesn't seem to be anything gold in the pantry. ]

[He'll bend down to check out the gold slivers. How big are they? Is there anything else strange about them? And where are they exactly in regards to the rest of the pantry?]

[ They're quite small, but it's impossible to tell where they came from. They seem to be next to a large, dented coffee can, though. ]

[Well...he may as well pick up the coffee can and check out what's inside.]

[ Delicious Folger's ground coffee! It's quite heavy, but the dent isn't hard enough to have broken the can. ]
