Week 3: 4th Investigation

Well it sure has been a strange week, hasn't it? Maybe you're all still drowsy from your slumber party, or maybe you wanted some time alone and purposely didn't go hang with the reindeer. Either way, the house is only getting creepier so it should probably come as no surprise that you guys need to have a look around and see if Santa left the naughty children any coal. Or you know, dead bodies.

Once again, it's time for an investigation! Characters may go about their morning business, just be sure you let us know what room you're investigating in and we'll let you know if your morning is getting rudely interrupted. But don't worry if you miss out! There's plenty to find and a killer to catch. Just have to figure out whose Christmas time was cut short first.

[since chuuya found the head in here, he'll return for a closer look... now that he knows where the body is, he's keeping an eye on the floor for a blood trail to see just how messy this event was.]

[ Smart thinking, Chuuya. There is indeed a trail of blood leading from the head, out to the door.

Might be a good idea to give the head (and the area around it) another look, too! ]

[he sure will! chuuya carefully lifts the cloth to get a look at the head itself first, checking to see if it was cleanly severed or a messier job.]

[ I'll spare you the gorier details and say the head looks like a clean job! Whether it was one blow or several, the work looks precise. ]

[ The weird thing on the table is that book was placed upright. It does a pretty good job of hiding Sugimoto's head from unsuspecting passersby, how thoughtful!

Chuuya might find something if he looks closely at the book's cover, though... ]

[it's thoughtful but chuuya's still judging, there's a blood trail and the place still smells like it, people will come look!!

So make sure you don't smear it further, ok? ]

is it smeared enough that it's not going to be useful for, say, comparing to people's hand sizes, i may as well ask while i'm thinking about it...]

[ Probably not. It's smeared enough to see that it's a hand, but it's a bit too smudged to get a good comparison going. You might be able to narrow down it down a little, but as it is there'll only partial matches. ]
