WHO KILLED CHRISTMAS?

Starshine and Brasco assemble everyone in the room. The room is extra foreboding and cold after the events of last week, and the raw egg evidence as well as Rider's body have been preserved in the room, so tread carefully.

Starshine slams down the paper for this week with all the suspects and laughs, turning to Brasco and gesturing wildly, pointing at him. "J'accuse, Brasco! This whole time, we've been pointing figures at each other but there was one man we never pointed at. And it's you! And actually, all the rest of the people on this list, too." She looks back at the list and taps it gently, "Oh, yeah, one other thing, I need you to write two names on your paper. Assuming you actually vote, unlike you abstainers," she says it the way someone in the 1950s might say communists. "I deduced that two people definitely killed the two dead people, so have fun with that." She claps her hands, "get to it, my minions!"

Yeah, that's what I was wondering... but I mean, there are also two people who got killed. Maybe they were looking for a third and just didn't have time.

...and honestly, I ain't exactly an electrician, so it could've been that. Woulda been a good way to get the jump on someone, I think.

If she's right about there being two people who killed, though, then either that's out or it was a team effort.

Was there anything else weird about the cabinet?

Oh, huh. I mean, she's been close enough so far, as much as I hate to admit it, but maybe that's worth keeping in mind.

I guess just that it was totally empty, there was a wire spring hanging out of it, and it was kind of open before I started investigating it?

...then yeah, I don't think that was an electric trap.

You open the door, the lights go out, the cabinet opens and the spring releases, and you don't even see what happens.

Yeah... I guess if you were intentionally targeting Sugimoto that'd make sense, since I know like... Hans was worried about him knowing how to use guns and stuff. Those aren't really common where I'm from since we do fighting differently, so I dunno how dangerous that'd make him in and of itself, but.

...though, you know, I'm also kinda wondering if the fact that this stuff was set up in the first place rules some people out, since there are definitely a few people from before electricity was, like, a thing.

There aren't even guns here, so it's a pointless thing to worry about. Other fighting skills, though, sure.

--and yeah, you might have a point there. You know for sure who comes from that far back...? I'm not all that familiar with everyone on the list.

Then you might be out for that one. I don't think you're dumb enough not to pick up on how light switches work after this long, but I don't know how far back things like springs go.
